HOUSTON, Texas – (March 6, 2019) – The most delicious food run in the Space City returns to Houston’s Energy Corridor District on Saturday, March 9, with the Kolache Factory Challenge 5k!
What: The 2nd Annual Kolache Factory Challenge 5K, sponsored by Katy-based Kolache Factory, puts its promise of offering fresh, high-quality kolache pastries “on-the-run,” to the test. When: Saturday, March 9, 2019 Kids 1k at 8 AM 5k at 8:30 AM Where: Starts at Addicks Park and Ride (Energy Corridor, right off I-10). Flat and fast course on Park Row Drive. The Challenge? Runners will be tasked with eating THREE sausage and cheese kolaches halfway through the 5K and then complete the rest of the race. There is also a Casual 5K option, plus a Kids 1K run, plus a Virtual 5k race, otherwise known as the “sleep-in option” for those who want to earn some swag (medal/shirt/bib/free kolache voucher) without actually showing up at the road race. A virtual runner can run the 5k when and where they want, whether it’s on a treadmill at home, on an out of town business trip, or in their own mind. You can participate from anywhere. This race truly offers something for everyone!
